Music study plays a crucial role in the social and emotional growth and development of children. It is my goal to guide the students to fine tune their shills so that they can reach their maximum potential in their study of music.

Since each student is unique, each private lesson plan is customized according to the student's ability and objectives. Each weekly 30 or 45 minute private lesson  includes an additional 30 minute segment consisting of music theory and ear training study through computer, games, cd tapes, and hands-on aids.

Piano study includes the following:

     Method Book (beginner-late intermediate levels)


     Repertoire (Classics, pop, jazz)

     Music Theory/Ear Training/Improvisation

Vocal study includes the following:


     Sight Reading/Ear Training

     Repertoire (pop, theatre, jazz, classics)

Composition study is project based, supplemented by music theory a appropriate

All students have many opportunities to share their music with others through formal and informal recitals and musical play parties. In addition, music festivals, contests and events sponsored by the arlington Music Teachers Association are available for students K-12 grade.  All scheduled activities are listed on the news and blog posts page.
